Content in accordance with EU Implementing Decision 2018/1523

This accessibility statement applies to the website:

https://atlantefoodservice.com

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the requirements set out in Annex A to standard UNI EN 301549:2018 (WCAG 2.1 Level AA) and the requirements of Annex A to the Ministerial Decree of 5 July 2005 (WCAG 2.0), due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reason:

  • a) Non-compliance with Law of 9 January 2004, No. 4.

The site has undergone technical verification using both automated and manual tools (WAVE, axe, Lighthouse, NVDA).

28 total issues were identified, including 7 critical, 17 serious, and 4 moderate. There are no blocking barriers that completely prevent use, but some issues may reduce accessibility for users with visual and motor disabilities.

Key areas for improvement:

  • Keyboard navigation Some buttons or links are not operable via keyboard. Planned fix: allow the use of the TAB and ENTER keys for all interactive elements.
  • Accessible labels and names Some buttons, links, or form fields lack a clear name for screen readers. Planned fix: add labels or aria-label attributes that describe the function of the button or link.
  • Color contrast Some light texts on colored backgrounds do not meet the minimum required contrast. Planned fix: increase contrast between text and background to improve readability.
  • Visible focus Some links or buttons do not show an outline when selected via keyboard. Planned fix: apply a visible focus style (border, shadow, or clear color).
  • Images and alternative text Some images do not have alternative text or simply repeat the article title. Planned fix: provide descriptive alternative text, or use alt="" for decorative images.
  • Headings and titles Some pages are missing an H1 title or use headings that are not in a logical order. Planned fix: maintain a consistent hierarchy (H1 → H2 → H3).
  • Form fields without labels Some input fields (such as newsletter fields) are not associated with their labels. Planned fix: add a <label for> attribute linked to the field’s id.
  • Videos and embedded content Some videos do not have a descriptive title in the iframe code. Planned fix: add title="Video description" to indicate the content.
  • Clickable cards Article or recipe cards contain duplicate links (on both the image and the title). Planned fix: make the entire card clickable with a single link to simplify navigation.

Site languages

The site is available in one language (English).

The lang=”en-US” attribute is correctly set at page level to ensure proper interpretation by assistive technologies.
